2 YEAR POST-DOC FELLOWSHIPS

CALL FOR 2 JUNIOR RESEARCHERS 

AT THE UNIVERSITY OF PAVIA 

We search for 2 junior researchers holding (or about to hold) a Ph.D. in Economics and specializing in the area of macroeconomics, monetary economics, and the study of aggregate fluctuations. Areas of particular interest for the research unit are:

(i)   the role of stabilization policies;

(ii)  how the effects of those policies depend on the degree of heterogeneity in the economy;

(iii) the dynamics of inflation and the determinants of the slope of the Phillips Curve;

(iv) the role of monetary and fiscal policy coordination in the new inflationary environment.

The researcher hired by the Dept of Economics and Management at the University of Pavia, and will carry out her/his research under the supervision of Prof. Guido Ascari and in collaboration with Prof. Ascari and/or other members of the macroeconomics group at the University of Pavia.

Duration: 2 years (1 + 1, second year subject to probation)

Fellowship amount per year:  € 28.000

DEADLINE: 12:00 noon of 9 November 2022 

The funding comes from a grant from the Italian Ministry (Progetto PRIN 2020, Persistent Slumps, Policy, and Heterogeneity) to carry out research on the above topics. A more detailed description of the funded research program can be found here.
