INTERNATIONAL LITERACY DAY: [8TH SEP 2017]

In the past the ability of person to read and write is treated to be the literate. But now a day the concept of literacy has been changed accordingly. Today we are in the age information only ability to read and write is not sufficient for a person. Everyone has to be able in every field of life. The person must be able to adapt the technology in today’s technology driven society. So the person must to able to operate and use the technology in an effective manner is the aim of literacy. Hence keeping in mind to make the students aware about the literacy, understanding them their role in the process of literacy the Information Literacy day was celebrated in library on 8th Sep 2017.

A lecture was organised for the students for making them able for the literacy propagation in the society. A lecture on the ‘Effective use of Social media’. was delivered by Librarian Mr. Nagsen Bansod on the occasion. The Principal Dr. Abdul Bari was the Chairperson of the function.
