I am writing to you on behalf of Grittleton Parish Council to tell you about changes to the precept (levy) paid by each property in the Parish.

Grittleton is in the lowest 10 parishes, in terms of precept, of the 253 parishes in Wiltshire and it has remained at roughly the same level for over 12 years. It is currently £15.00 per Band D property per year or £0.29 per week.

Following the recent resident survey, which is available on the village website - Survey, a number of projects have been identified and so Parish Councillors have decided to increase the precept this year to £18.00 per Band D property per year an increase of just under £0.06 per week to fund them.

This increase will be included in your Council Tax bill you receive from Wiltshire Council for the forthcoming year starting 1st April 2026.
