2020 Scholarship Winners

Due to the recent pandemic our club was not able to meet our winners this year. Read a short Bio for each winner below.

Meet the winners:

Megan O'Brien is a senior at Greensburg-Salem. She will begin her studies at Penn State-Fayette studying for a degree in mechanical engineering. She had played volleyball since 2015 and is a member of the National Honor Society. She has volunteered with the Internet Club as a tutor at Nicely Elementary, while babysitting and working at Chick-Fil-A.

Jalen Page is a senior at Greensburg-Salem and will be attending California University of Pennsylvania in the fall. He will be majoring in Business Management. Jalen has lettered for three years in basketball, tack and field and football. He has volunteered as a senior mentor, as well as, participating in the Interact Club. He works at Mt. Oden Golf Club and Shop and Save.

Tyler Vandenberg is a senior at Greensburg-Salem. He will be attending Carnegie Mellon University majoring in information systems. A computer "wiz" he developed and set many systems used at the high school, middle school, and elementary schools. Tyler is active in his church and worked backstage for the high school musicals. He participated in the Pre-Apprenticeship Program for Sales Engineering. In sport, he participates in cross country earning the Iron Man Award for 4 years. He is also the winner of the "Heart of the Lion" award.

Joula Anderson is a senior at Greensburg-Salem. She will be attending Waynesburg in the fall majoring in nursing. She would like to continue her education by becoming either a nurse practitioner or physician assistant. A member of the National Honor Society, she has served on the student council since 2016. Joula has been on the track and field team since 2014. She has volunteered with Outdoor Odyssey and the Mini-Thon. She currently works at Seabase.
