2025 Great Lakes Region Taiji Performance Festival has be held on September 14 at Novi, Michigan
The 2025 and 11th Great Lakes Taiji Performance Festival was successfully held in city of Novi on the afternoon of September 14. Nine teams from the region participated in this festival and we are very happy to see many old friends and some new friends joining us. Many participates really feel that the annual Great Lakes Taiji Performance Festival is a grand event for Taiji enthusiasts in this region and related regions. As one master said: “This is the best event we love to attend”. This year, we celebrate not only the art of Taiji, but also the ways it continues to evolve and connect across generations and cultures. Each team stepped onto the festival floor, into that moment, with balance, with joy, and with openness. Each Taiji team had wonderful and high-level demonstrations. On and off the field, Taiji enthusiasts actively participated and exchanged and communicated with each other. The festival was warmly welcomed by all participants. The demonstrations and exchanges remind us: tradition is not a weight we carry, but a living current we keep flowing. The festival has renewed our strength, deepened our harmony, and refreshed us that in Taiji—as in life—every beginning is also a continuation.
We want to thank masters, team leaders & members, and volunteers, whose dedication has made this gathering possible once again. We want to thank our sponsor Ann-Hwa Chinese School for their generous support. And of course, We want to thank all participants and guests—for bringing your energy and spirit to the festival.
