Civil Process

Under New Hampshire Revised Statutes Annotated 104:5, the Sheriff of Grafton County or his deputies are required to serve and execute all writs and other process, having been directed to him, issuing from lawful authority.  

IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO PROVIDE A PHYSICAL ADDRESS FOR SERVICE.  WE CANNOT SERVE A POST OFFICE BOX OR A RURAL ROUTE ADDRESS.  

You must have your documents completely and accurately filled out before delivering them for service. Should you have questions regarding legal procedures, you will have to contact an attorney.  Review your documents when you receive them from the Court to be sure they are accurate before bringing or mailing them to the Sheriff’s Office.   Be sure to provide the necessary copies.     .

The courts set specific time frames for document service.  Failure to present all of the copies in a timely fashion may preclude service.
