Gold and Silver Jewelry for sale

As the Highlands Ranch gold buyer, sometime I purchase gold and silver jewelry that is too nice to melt down. So, I have created this gold and silver blog post to highlight some of the jewelry I would be willing to sell at melt value plus a 5% percent commission. One example would be a nice 14k gold ring that weights 5 grams, here is how I would figure the sell price. The sell price for that ring would be -- current gold price divided by grams per troy ounce multiplied by purity of 14k or 58 percent. If gold is selling for $1700 per troy ounce, then one gram of 24k gold would be worth $54.83 multiplied by 14k or 58 percent, that would equal $31.80 per gram. 5 grams at $31.80 per gram is $159. Melt value plus a 5% percent commission for a total of $167. In a mall jeweler retail setting the ring would sell for $499.99. This is a good investment in gold because as gold prices increase so does the resale and melt value of your new ring.
