Class of 2015-2016 achievements:

Kathleen McLane and Alex Baez were chosen to present their work in Washington DC at the Posters on the Hill event: Posters on the Hill website
Austin Alderete has been named one of the recipients of the prestigious 2016 NSF Graduate Research Fellowship: NSF GRFP. He started Ph.D. program in Mathematics at UT Austin in Fall 2016.
Robert Argus received 2015-2016 Klaus Fischer Academic Achievement Award in Mathematics. He participated in the Math in Moscow program in Spring 2017.
Kathleen McLane became one of 2016 DoD SMART Fellows: DoD SMART Fellowhship and has enrolled into Operations Research MS program at GMU. She will do research at the Geospatial Research Laboratory in Alexandria, VA after she graduates.
Harout Boujakjan received Honorable mention in the Goldwater Scholarship competition
Harout Boujakjan received offers for competitive 2016 Summer internships at NRL and NIH. He worked at NIH in Summer 2016.
James Trichilo has been admitted to University of Maryland's Aerospace Engineering Ph.D. program starting Fall 2016.
Robert Argus has been accepted into competitive RIPS undergraduate research program at IPAM, UCLA for Summer 2017: RIPS website
Mae Markowski has been accepted into competitive summer research program at Oak Ridge National Lab for Summer 2017.
Ratna Khatri has started a PhD program in Math at GMU. She received ORAU NSF sponsored Graduate Research Internship at Argonne National Lab in Summer 2017.
Ratna Khatri received a Givens Associate Scholarship to continue her work at Argonne National Lab in Summer 2018.
Robert Argus has been selected to participate in the Heidelberg Laureate Forum among 200 students from around the world. He will get a chance to personally interact with Fields Medal and Turing Medal winners as part of this Forum, held annually in Heidelberg, Germany.
Class of 2016-2017 achievements:
Lucas Bouck received extremely selective NSF Graduate Fellowship to support his PhD studies.

Tim Reid started a PhD program at NC State in Fall 2017
Mae Markowski won the Mary K. Cabell Award for the Outstanding Mathematics Student. She started a PhD program in Computational and Applied Mathematics at Rice University in Fall 2017
Nathaniel Bechhofer started a PhD program in Economics at UC San Diego in Fall 2017
Zhusong Mei started a Masters program in financial mathematics at Carnegie Mellon in Fall 2017
Lucas Bouck received PhD admission offers from several top programs including Columbia, Brown, Courant Institute, UMD. He will be starting a program at University of Maryland in Fall 2018, where he received prestigious Brin Fellowship.
Class of 2017-2018 achievements:
JJ Guan received Honorable mention in the Goldwater Scholarship competition. She will be participating in the RIPS undergraduate summer research program at UCLA in Summer 2018.
Miguel Castro Rivera has been selected by the Council in Undergraduate Research (CUR) as one of the 60 undergrads (out of over 700 applications) whose work will be presented at the US Capitol Hill, for his project on Mathematical Modeling of Gang Violence (mentors: Padhu Seshaiyer, Carmen Caiseda).
Hye Kim got accepted into Mathematics PhD program at University of Minnesota starting Fall 2018.
JJ Guan was awarded 2019 NSF GRFP. She received offers from top PhD schools including Northwestern, UMD and Courant. She is starting a PhD program at UMD in Fall 2019.
Arsah Rahman has been accepted to several PhD programs in Mathematics including University of Minnesota, GMU and Colorado State and will be joining GMU PhD program in Fall 2019.
Class of 2018-2019 achievements:
Brendan Gramp got accepted into Mathematics PhD programs at University of Maryland, Virginia Tech and University of Delaware and will be starting his PhD studies at UMD in Fall 2019.
Micheal Belete won an Outstanding Poster Award at the 2019 Joint Mathematics Meetings on his project mentored by Dr. Sander and Dr. Wanner, a team project with Andrew Hornstra
Lindsey Wallace started an Accelerated Masters program at Mason in Fall 2018.
Ben Concepcion won 2019 Goldwater Scholarship, the most prestigious undergraduate scholarship given in natural sciences, math and engineering.
Joshua Westhoven won Best Poster award at the GMU Undergraduate Colloquium competition in April 2019.
