Marina Glushenkova

About me

I am an Assistant Professor in Economics at the Nottingham University Business School in China. My research interests lie in the field of International Macroeconomics and International Finance. My most recent paper investigates the effect of monetary union membership on international price integration. I have also worked on financial crises focusing on the identification of bank crises and on the effect of banking regulation on the financial stability of countries. In 2020, I obtained an International Young Scientist Fellowship from the Natural Science Foundation of China for my project “Roads to Integration: The role of Transport Infrastructure in the Domestic Market Integration in China.” 

I completed my Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Cyprus in June 2016. Before that, I obtained Master degree in Economic Analysis at the University of Cyprus. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy  Finally, in April 2021, I was awarded Lord Dearing Award for innovative teaching.
