About me
I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at Nottingham University Business School in China. My research interests lie in the field of International Macroeconomics, International Finance and the Chinese Economy. My most recent paper investigates the evolution of regional price integration in China. I am also interested in SME financing, Fintech, and banking crises. My papers have been published in the Journal of Money Credit and Banking, Journal of Applied Econometrics, International Journal of Finance and Economics, Journal of Economic Development and Cultural Change, and etc. In 2020, I obtained an International Young Scientist Fellowship from the Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) for my project “Roads to Integration: The role of Transport Infrastructure in the Domestic Market Integration in China.”
I completed my Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Cyprus in June 2016. Before that, I obtained Master degree in Economic Analysis at the University of Cyprus. I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy In April 2021, I was awarded Lord Dearing Award for outstanding contribution to the development of teaching and student learning.
