GLONASS board specifically designed to replace regular GPS receivers in Oscilloquartz OSA5581C, OSA5240, and OSA453x equipment to ensure reliable operation in areas of unstable GPS signal receive. In GLONASS board used Ukrainian navigation receivers CH-4706 or CH-4725, developed by SE “ORIZON-NAVIGATION”, Ukraine, which allows to receive signals of the Russian GLONASS navigation system and American GPS system. Receive of signals of the two navigation systems allows to increase the number of visible satellites in areas of unstable reception, which provides a safe reception and work of synchronization equipment. Work from two different systems allow to eliminate the dependence on only one navigation system and in general increases reliability of equipment of synchronization. In design of the board is provided manual selection of navigation systems. There are three modes of operation:
GLONASS board according to its dimensions, fasteners, electrical characteristics and protocol is fully compatible with GPS receiver installed into Oscilloquartz equipment. Modernization of the equipment performs by simply replacing of the regular GPS receiver on GLONASS adapter board as shown in the photos. It is also necessary to replace the GPS antenna on a combined GPS/GLONASS antenna such as the M102.
After replacement of the regular GPS receiver on GLONASS board, there is no need to do any changes in hardware and software of Oscilloquartz equipment. All programs of management, including management system SyncView Plus, work as before. GLONASS board works with all available satellites of GLONASS and GPS systems. For compatibility with running management programs of Oscilloquartz equipment, GLONASS2 board displays only twelve satellites with the best level of the receiving signal. The numbering of satellites to display in the control systems equipment Oscilloquartz: 1-32 satellites GPS, N+37 GLONASS satellites (N=1-32). GLONASS board designed specifically for work in places with not reliable reception of signals. The efficiency is maintained even when less than three satellites any of the system are visible.
Operating mode of adapter board is selected by setting configuration jumpers during installation into equipment. Transfer of engineering commands for remote configuration and management of operating modes are not provided. The efficiency of the adapter board controlee’s built-in microprocessor and if necessary, restarts the program without affecting the output signal.
In the new version of the adapter board there was made changes, which allow improving reliability and quality of output signal. Selection of the operating mode of adapter board is performed only during installation by setting the configuration jumpers. Remote control commands are disabled.
GLONASS2 board may be additionally equipped with combined GLONASS/GPS antenna for installation on the roof, or with combined GLONASS/GPS antenna with magnetic mount.
In updated GLONASS board used a new microprocessor with reduced use of power. Serial samples of GLONASS boards are assembled without the use of lead (Pb-Free). Documentation for GLONASS board available only in electronic form.
