About Glen Sence

Glen Sence is the local free newspaper for Great Glen. We haven't published since Spring 2018, but we are looking to do a new publication this June to commemorate the Platinum Jubilee celebrations in Great Glen.

Published four times a year, Glen Sence is produced and distributed by volunteers. The cost of production is met entirely through advertising revenue.

It was first published in 1975 and gets its name from the River Sence, which flows through the village of Great Glen.

Glen Sence aims to promote a sense of community and help our villages to be vibrant in the following ways:

  • Giving local groups and organisations an opportunity to promote themselves and their activities

  • Helping to advertise events

  • Keeping local people informed about things that they can get involved in

  • Giving local businesses an opportunity to advertise. (The cost of production is covered entirely by the advertising revenue and we are grateful to our advertisers for their support);

  • Including information about local issues of concern and / or interest
