Purpose of the GKCRead Program

The GKCRead Program promotes reading by providing an annual  Nominee List of  quality books for students within the 2.8 - 4.8 reading  range. Books on the GKCRead Nominee list are intended to introduce quality contemporary literature to students.

Process

Students  who read or have had read to them, at least four (4) titles from the master list will vote for his/her favorite. Ballots will be prepared for school librarians to distribute and collect from participating classrooms in March.  The  author of the winning title will receive special recognition.
