A word from the author:
I do not, and will never, advocate for any kind of pedophilia or "child grooming" as one person suggested in a review of my series, Posy.
Being of sound mind means that a person understands what he/she are doing, the consequences of his/her actions, and is able to make rational decisions without coercion or undue influence. If you're over 18 and have a sound mind, what you do in the bedroom is your business. However, if you are being forced or persuaded to do something sexual that you do not agree with, enjoy, or feel comfortable with, seek help. Human/sex trafficking is a bigger problem in our world than most people realize. It's not love if someone is controlling you or forcing or convincing you to do something that hurts you or makes you uncomfortable physically, mentally, or emotionally!
For immediate assistance, call the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888. You can reach the Hotline 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in more than 200 languages. All calls are confidential and answered live by highly trained Anti-Trafficking Hotline Advocates. Email help@humantraffickinghotline.org or text 233733.
And one last thing: It's disgusting that we're in 2025 and still have to guard our drinks, but please, for your own sake, be aware of where your drink is at all times, who had access to it, and where it came from, especially when you're at a club, party or bar, but even if you're in the home of someone you trust. Just because you know the host doesn't mean you know all the guests. If you have any doubt that something's wrong, it's better to go home sober than take the risk.
IQ- Why was Alpha Kayvon surprised that Bridger was 16? If he was an adult and had a pup with Brynn, that would have been a crime, and he seemed prepared to hand over Isabelle to him?
A - He was fully prepared to demand justice for Brynn if Bridger had been an adult. It was only after Mason clarified Bridger's age that Kayvon understood the narrative and was ready to bring the baby to Five Fangs.
Q- How many betas and gammas do alpha triplets have?
A- To be revealed!
Q- Is it impossible for someone to be both a lunar witch and a werewolf?
A- Since both werewolves and lunar witches draw power from the Moon, it seems obvious, but they tap into different aspects of it. Lunar witches refine and channel the moon's light and forces into a conscious discipline. Werewolves are more primal, the Moon’s wild side. They're more instinctive and raw, in a way. I think the two aspects would compete, resulting instability. My final answer? Nature doesn’t forbid it, so it's not impossible, just extremely rare.
Q- So what if Posy was possessed by a parasite (like Cole), would Emerson have attacked Angelo if he was trying to get it out because of his beta blood? Or would his beta instincts recognize that his luna is in danger because of the parasite?
A - Ooo, what a good question! I think any beta would be very on edge during the whole thing, maybe their wolves growling and wanting to do more than just watch, but ultimately, they would recognize she was being helped, not harmed.
Q - So now that we know that lunar witches exist, what exactly is the definition of a complete coven? Because I originally thought it was one of the four elements (fire, water, air, earth) because the coven was complete when Poppy arrived.
A - In my world, elemental witches are only one family of magic. They govern the physical foundations of reality—Earth, Fire, Water, and Air—so people often assume they define what a “complete coven” looks like. But there are actually several major groupings of witches, each connected to a different aspect of the world’s structure:
Elemental Witches — Matter / the world-body. This includes Earth, Fire, Water, Air. They shape the physical plane and maintain the tangible world.
Skyborne Witches — Cosmos / the world-sky. This includes Solar, Lunar, Cosmic (star), Storm. They tend celestial forces, heavenly cycles, and upper-atmospheric magic.
Umbral Witches — Metaphysics / the world-soul. This includes Astral (dream/mind), Temporal (time), Veil (spirit), Kismet (fate). They govern what is unseen: consciousness, spirits, time, and destiny.
A coven is considered complete when it includes all the roles its own group requires. An elemental coven is complete with all four elements, a skyborne coven is complete with solar + lunar + cosmic + storm, and an umbral coven is complete with astral + temporal + veil + kismet.
You didn't ask this, but... Can a witch from one group join a coven of another?
Absolutely. No witch of the Light would shun another for the magic they were born with. A witch doesn’t choose her gift—the gift chooses her. Rejecting someone for it would be spiritually ignorant, magically dangerous, and deeply taboo. Each type of magic is understood as vital to the world’s balance. Elementals keep the world-body stable. Skyborne keep the world-sky steady. Umbral keep the world-soul whole. To consider any of these “lesser” would be absurd; without one, the others fail. Mixed covens are not only allowed, they’re desirable because they strengthen and stabilize each other. Magical prejudice exists only among the Dark covens, whose corruption comes from diabolical bargains and demonic contracts.
Q- What did Posy name the pack middle and high school?
A - Heritage Middle School. Legacy High School.
Q - I’m having a little trouble imagining Cole as a cuddler at night before posy. We got scenes of her cuddling with Wyatt, maybe we can get a bonus story of that with Cole.
A - Good idea! I'll add it to the wish list of bonus scenes for A Pack of Tales, which I hope to publish in July 2026.
Q- If Julian’s first born child was a daughter, would she be allowed to be queen in her own right?
A - Yes. Firstborn children become the next monarch in the werewolf world.
On a related note, I'm thinking of someday maybe writing about a female alpha....
Q - Do you think Ash and Jayden originally were going to share a mate to officially merge their packs?
A - Yes, but not in the way you mean. Posy was always fated for them and their 'brothers.' Ha, can you imagine her traveling between five packs if they'd never merged?
Q- In an alternate universe, where Tanner and Everett survived, what do you think would’ve happened? Would Wayne have actually left the boys for his mate? Especially after finding out on Reau’s birthday that Reau and Arch are mates?
A - As hard as it would be for all involved, Wayne would have gone with Everett. The soulmate bond is almost impossible to resist or reject unless one of the mates or one of the wolves is insane or feral.
Q - This quote from Pack (Posy book three): “I don’t know how it is with any other witch, as I’ve never met any before you, Maria, but I can’t use my magic in fox form.” How has Poppy never met another witch, but has Magic? Did she inherit it from a parent somehow but no one else in her family got it?
A - Her great-great-grandmother was a witch; the magic gene skipped a few generations to her. The rest of her family and skulk are all foxes.
Q- Why did Ranger’s wolf go on alert when he first entered five fangs territory? Because he was alerted by his mates blood relatives?
A - At the time I was writing, I was thinking that Coal (Ranger's wolf) was sensing his future queen. Maybe he also was sensing his soon-to-be-found mate's family. After all, Luke and Lilah are her close cousins and Zayne and Zayden are her brothers.
Q- Can we get character art or detailed descriptions of each character in a consolidated location?
A - I'll work on that. I'm open to suggestions on where to locate it -- here or on Wattpad?
Q- Here's a compilation of genetics questions! Yara and Drott Joseph has got me thinking: Will their kids get both nephilim powers and a tiger spirit? Or just inherit one power? Like how Poppy is a witch and a fox, but can’t use magic in fox form? Or will they just inherit one like how (for example) Gamma Adam’s kid Rafe got the green hair, but smells of Moon magic, not like a fairy? How long will Kon and Lanie’s children live? What traits will they inherit from their parents? For an inter-species couple, does the Moon Goddess pick which animal spirit you get or is it random genetics? Is it similar to a recessive gene on if the kids gets a werewolf spirit or some other spirit? If a child gets a werewolf spirits, can their kids be fairies? Like how omega blood can skip a generation like in Bram’s family? Similarly, if a wolf is mated to a human, and their child gets mated to another wolf who is the offspring of a wolf mated to a human, is it possible to have a child that is completely human if they both have a wolf dominant gene and a human recessive gene?
A - First, the ages of Kon and Lanie's kids: Since both Kon and Lanie age differently than mortals, I'd say maybe the children live 1/3 longer than humans. Like maybe up to 120? Lanie's kids are technically fifth generation nephilim, which live a normal human lifetime, but I'd think Kon's dragon heritage would give them just a little boost in the years department.
Mixed species children and appearances: It's all random, just like normal genetics. The kids could inherit any eye, skin, hair color, shape, height, etc., from either parent. They could look more like one parent or the other or be a blend of both, or even have a hair color thrown back to an earlier generation on either side of their parentage.
Mixed species children and powers/spirits/abilities: The shifter gene stays separate -- there wouldn't be a wolf with bird wings or furry chicks with fangs (Sorry, Royal!). However, there can be shifters who are also witches, just like the del Vecchio flock; one side of the family carried the magic gene and the other side carried the bird shifter gene, resulting in witches who were also bird shifters. So you could have a fire witch wolf shifter, for example. Which gifts the kids get is determined by the Moon Goddess. I'm not a scientist, but that makes sense to me. If one of your parents is a human, yes, you could be a human, too, with no magic or animal spirit at all. Since magic is a dominant gene and human is recessive, however, it's not likely.
The children of mixed species children: Just like regular genetics. If your grandparents were a werewolf and a fairy, and your dad inherited Moon magic and a wolf spirit, you could still inherit your grandmother's fae magic and have wings.
Example 1 :
Parents: Adam (a werewolf) and Georgie (a fairy)
Son: Rafe
Appearance-wise, he inherits Georgie's mint green hair and darker skin as well as Adam's blue eyes.
Magic-wise, he inherits Moon magic and a wolf spirit from Adam. He still carries Georgie's fae magic gene. Even though he himself is a werewolf, his son or daughter could be a fairy.
Example 2 :
Parents: Zayne and Zayden (werewolves) and Beatrix (a bird shifter/fire witch)
Son: Drew
Appearance-wise, he inherited Beatrix's light brown hair and his dads' dark brown eyes.
Magic-wise, he inherited a wolf spirit from his dads and fire magic from his mom, making him a fire witch wolf shifter.
Q- Will Luna Posy lose most of her moon power when her first pups are born and the original 5 packs dissolve?
A - No, because the conglomerate pack is still full of that much moon power. The five individual 'wells' have consolidated into one, not diminished. It will pass to every subsequent luna.
Q- So is being an omega only passed on to kids based on genetics? Like Posy’s family? Or can someone get it randomly?
A - It's passed along genetically, but it could skip generations and resurface randomly in a bloodline.
Q- Regarding the splices discussed in Corrupted, it was mentioned that they would open up an orphanage and put them up for adoption if their mothers didn’t want to keep them. If that’s true, why didn’t Emerson and Angelo adopt one if they already discussed in Loving Him that they were ready to expand their family? Or is my timeline messed up?
A - No, you're timeline is correct. They adopt Josslyn three years after the events of Loving Him. My thought with the splices was that the 'orphanage' would try to match closest to parentage first, if possible. And I think Angelo was hunting down Dark witches and Alchemist roots for a while afterwards. I really don't have a better reason than that!
Q- Will A Pack of Tales be published on Amazon?
A - Yes, once I've got a good number of deleted scenes, bonus stories and vignettes to make a full-length book. Maybe by Summer 2026?
Q- Is Amazon the only way to purchase your books digitally?
A - Yes, at least for now.
Q - What's where in the world of Five Fangs?
Q - This is a paraphrase of several suggestions for A Pack of Tales:
It would be really sweet to read the scenes where Posy's family finds out she exists.
A second epilogue where Posy has more children, including a little girl.
Could you include a scene where Posy first sees the dress that Peri made for her luna ceremony?
I would love to read the dream the boys had where the goddess told them about their future mate. We know the basics but I would love a full version, please?
I loved reading about Reau's first Christmas. Any plans to write Posy's first Christmas as a bonus story? I would also really love to read her first birthday. With all her family and friends I can imagine how special they would make her first birthday party.
I think one where Wayne tells Callie and keeley about Everett would be nice, seeing them get closure. And one where the twins meet spring in Reau’s body.
I would love to hear more of Jace Beaudreau’s story!
Did Posy and her mates ever end up going to Bora Bora? And Samoa?
Q - I have read all your books several times. There seems to be a major difference in demon possession between Leo and Kerry. Is it different because one is a wolf shifter and the other nephilim? Or is Kerry a case of true possession while Leo was more coerced like Mira but it was called possession?
A - Great question! Yes, being a wolf shifter saved Leo from the fate Kerry endured. While Kerry had his Divine power, Leo had a whole separate entity full of moon power - his wolf - to help him combat the demon. Without Ruby, Leo would have been in much worse shape. And the demon only had a year to nibble on Leo's soul. Also, the nephilim have different terms for things. Example - The shifters say hunters and the nephilim say raiders for those how prey on supernaturals.
Q- Will there be audiobooks for Possessed, Tainted Book One?
A - If it sells enough copies, I'll have an audiobook made for it. I use the proceeds from the book sales to pay the audio voice actors.
Q - I missed Posy and her boys a lot and since it was mentioned in Posy and later in Thoreau, I would love to see Posy's reaction to Cole growing his beard in the winter. If you have time, can you maybe write a bonus chapter or something? Thanks in advance, and thank you for writing such an amazing universe.
A - That is an excellent suggestion! I've been gathering ideas to put in a book of short stories, and I will definitely include this idea!
Q- Why didn't James and Aiden contact the King sooner about their father? After the first challenges failed and they moved out, they had to know how much Posy would suffer. Or did they contact the King and Briggs brother interfered? They eventually reached out after Posy's 18th. I just don't understand why they waited so long, knowing what was happening.
A - I might write a novella at some point for the Briggs' brothers POV, but that's a big if, so I don't mind sharing the answer. One, they were under Alpha Kendall Briggs' alpha command, which restricted a lot of their lines of communication since he was so much more powerful than they were. Plus, he abused them and ground them under his heel until they were worn down and incapable of making good decisions. Two, and this is what would come out in their story, they did try to get word to the king three times, and Kendall's brother blocked it all three times. When Alpha Kendall found out, he punished James and Aiden severely. Three, and this would come out in their story, when their challenges failed and they couldn't get word to the king, they tried to pass a message along with Luna Nora Quake - and Alpha Kendall got wind of it, so he infected her with the parasite to shut her up, the same parasite that would spawn into Alpha Cole. Fourth and finally, Lark wasn't the only wolf Alpha Kendall drugged with wolfsbane when they became problematic to him. He even drugged his own wolf, Basalt, until his wolf was little more than a mindless killing machine! (That, of course, is not anything anyone knows yet.)
The only reason James and Aiden were finally able to get word to the king was because they smuggled a physical letter out with Beta Roy McGinnis when he was given leave to visit his sister in another pack. Entrusting the letter to her, since Alpha Kendall had given him very specific instructions to follow during his visit, Beta Roy begged her to take it to Royal Pack. She did - and boldly insisted on giving it personally to a member of the Royal Family. It's quite a story, how she parked herself on the front steps of the palace and refused to move until former king Magnus came out to see what the ruckus was about! Maybe I'll get to tell it one day...
Q - Even after reading Posy multiple times, it just dawned on me. What happens to any jewelry that a shifter is wearing when they shift? I know Thoreau has a magical ring, but what about regular jewelry?
A - It - and their clothing and shoes - is left behind. Unless they pay a witch to spell it with returning. Great question!
Q - Will the Thoreau books be released on Kindle? I really really love your work. I stumbled upon you on accident and was instantly sucked in. I think I have read Posy's series 10 times! I so want more!
A - Thank you for the compliments! Yes, the Thoreau series is available on Kindle Unlimited and as ebooks, paperbacks and hardcovers on Amazon. The audiobooks are available on Amazon, iTunes, and Audible.
Q - I've been wondering are mates assigned at birth or once they get their wolves? I'm kind of curious if Posy originally had another mate or was destined for only one of the boys before the sickness. I don't know why but I can picture the moon goddess trying to decide between the 5 boys who Posy would be perfect for and she keeps changing her mind because she's perfect for all of them. Then the sickness hits and the goddess realizes that's why she couldn't choose because Posy was meant for all of them.
A - Aww! What a great theory! In my mind, the Goddess assigns mates at birth, and I hadn't given much thought to it beyond that. I love this idea, though!
Q - I don't know if she graduates, but Posy's graduation would be amazing to see. I would like to read Nathan and Evie's love story, they are very much a beauty out of the ashes couple and I love that. Reau meeting his baby sister for the first time would be awesome too . Is the baby a shifter, witch or human or something else? Do Reau, Archer and Wayne ever have pups?
A - You'll find out all about Reau and his baby sister in the last book of his series, and you can read about Josslyn's origin in the series, Evermere, coming Spring 2026. As for Nathan and Evie, I have been thinking about writing their story. Not sure if there's enough there for a full-length book, but definitely a novella at least! Posy never graduates - she gets her GED later. Thanks for your suggestions and questions!
Q - Do you think Kon might get his own book?? I absolutely love him and feel like his story would be amazing and has opportunities to go different routes!! Just putting that wish out there!! (Next year's Christmas wish❤️😊) I love Posy and her books and I hope you’ll continue with doing a story about her children? I’d love to see the kids and how they interact with Quartz and definitely Sid!!
A - There is definitely some interesting stuff coming up with Kon's mate that you'll see a bit of in Thoreau, Book Three, and in Tainted, Book Four, but I have no plans for a novel. As for Posy's children, they will have their own books and you'll see them interact with their parents and parents' wolves.
Q - What about Reau, Archer and Wayne? Were they mates? Did Kon find his mate?
A - Their story is told in the series, Thoreau. The first and second book detail Thoreau's arrival at Five Fangs, his reconnection with his brother, Beta Emerson, and establish his friendships. The third and fourth book take place 3 years later and detail the love lives of the Thoreau, Archer, Wayne, Kon, and a couple of others. : ) Audiobooks for the series are available, too!
Q - Is there LGBTQ+ representation in the Posy series?
A - Yes. There is a gay male shifter who finds his (male) mate, and a bi-sexual male shifter who finds his (male) mate. An established gay couple is mentioned, as well as a she wolf who is waiting to find her female mate. Gamma & Omega, Five Fangs Book Two, has a gay male couple as the main characters.
Q - I've seen this series ripped off on WolfFiction in a title called Spoiled by 5 Alphas. The first two chapters are, quite honestly horribly written, then from chapter 3 -5 its exactly the same. I won't pay for any chapter to go past chapter 5. ... It disgusts me that someone would not only steal this series but desecrate it by writing two horribly written chapters to try to fool people. I hope this gets to the author and she can shut that crap down. I reported it in the app but it's still there.
A - The online piracy is ridiculous and so hard to fight. Thank you so much for reporting this. I can send the app a cease-and-desist order when I know about things like this, so I appreciate you taking the time to let me know! I only sell my books through Amazon, in case anyone sees it elsewhere.
Q -Will the books ever be available in a box set? Thank you for your time
A - I don't know how that process works, but I'll look into it! Thanks for reading!
Q - So in “Mates,” there was Luke’s life motto. I was just wondering if any of the fans could get that tattooed on them like Luke does on his wrist?
A - Of course you can! The quote is from Green Day's song, "Letterbomb."
