If you haven't seen us in a while or are having issues signing into Libby/Overdrive, don’t worry! It’s easy to renew your account.

Call (731) 855-1991 and we’ll renew your card.

Borrowing privileges are free to all persons residing, working, owning property, or attending school in Gibson County. 

• People living in the State of Tennessee outside of Gibson County who do not work, own property, or attend school full time in Gibson County may obtain a card by applying in person and paying $5 a year. 

To receive a library card at GCML, you must visit the Library to complete your registration. We will ask to see a current photo ID or driver's license. If your ID doesn’t have your correct physical address, bring documentation that proves your address.

Bring your card each time you visit the Library. Replacement cards are available for a small fee.

Checkout Periods

Books and kits check out for 2 weeks at a time, and DVDs and Blu-Rays check out for 2 days at a time. 

Renew Items

Please keep an eye on your due dates! Most items are eligible for up to 3 renewals:

• To renew in person, visit the Circulation Desk.

Fees for Damaged or Lost Items

Damaged and lost items carry a fee equal to their original retail amount. These fees will be added to the patron record.
