Email July 4th - 30 Hour Relay, 15 Mile Relay, 15 Mile Race

July 4, 2023

Happy 4th of July!  It’s hard to believe that summer is getting going with all the rain we’ve been getting in New England.  However, before you know it the leaves will be turning colors, pumpkins will become orange, and the ghosts and ghouls will be wandering the Ghost Train trails in the dinner time darkness.  We are excited to bring you another amazing weekend of running and fun in 2023!

You are registered for the 2023 Insert Race Name Here and hopefully your training is going well.  If you haven’t visited our web site lately, we have continued to add information, including videos of the course, course records and participation dating back to 2009, and of course the handbook which covers all the questions you may have!  (Or at least I hope it does!). If you have questions that aren’t covered in the handbook, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at ghosttrainrace@gmail.com or post/comment on our Facebook group.

Volunteer signups will open by the end of July.  Please keep an eye out on Facebook and our web site for more information!  We couldn’t put on Ghost Train without our generous volunteers, so please consider asking a friend or family member to help with a shift.  They get a front row seat to the race when volunteering!

You may move from one of the Ghost Train Trail Races to another if you feel that another race would better match your goals or training.  This can be done by editing your race registration through UltraSignup, or by dropping me an email as I’m happy to help.  Please note that if you move to a race with a wait list, you will go to the end of the wait list.  If you know you won’t be able to attend the race, please consider those on the wait list and either drop from the race via UltraSignup or by contacting me.  (Relay team members – please contact your team captain if you need to make a change)  I’m always sad to hear when a runner drops, but please know that your donation to the Conservation Commissions of Brookline and Milford help maintain and improve the trail, plus someone will be able to join the race and train without the uncertainty of being on the wait list.

Have a great July and watch for another runner email in August.
