Command prompt won't change directory to another drive (SOLVED)

cd /d d:\Docs\Java This works. - jlc 2018MAY_03 win7.

Simpler cd D:\Docs\Java, article states it never has worked this way. Note: It did in winXP and earlier, as I recall, not in win7 though.

In Summary:

cd /d works, using the switch /d after cd (change directory).
