*You can also use derer instead of deren in some cases. However, I advise against doing this, as deren is always correct, whereas derer is often not, but the rules for when it is OK or even preferable to use derer are not clear. One example of when it is not correct to use derer is when you are using the relative pronoun to mean whose.
