Personal Pronouns

The following table shows personal pronouns in the nominative, accusative, dative and genitive and their English translations (CAUTION: gentive personal pronouns are rarely used):

Prepositions

The following table shows prepositions that take the genitive (see note below):

N.B. In spoken German, the first 5 prepositions in the list above take the dative (instead of the genitive). The prepositions ending in -halb or -seits add a von after them, followed by the dative.
