George Fryer is a singer/songwriter/guitarist based in Huntington Beach, CA-performing over 200 gigs a year in Southern California (Orange County and Los Angeles) with a list of 5000 classic rock songs (50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s) both acoustic and with the band George Fryer Combo.
He started in the 1980s psychedelic/punk band Peace Corp., signing with 2 record labels and releasing one critically acclaimed eponymous album Peace Corp. (1998) before making the transition from hard rock/punk to acoustic on the album Decaf (2000) with its singles "You Make Me Happy" and "Waitress", subsequently releasing Melodica (2001), Meow (2005), Strike (2008), Best of Fryer (2011), Moka (2016) and Peace Corp 1984-1999 (2025), available on Compact Disc and all digital platforms (Apple, Spotify, etc.).
Performance highlights include: The Tonight Show, Rosie O'Donnell Show, MTV, KTLA and KROQ, touring as guitarist and keyboardist with Sugar Ray, and shared stages with Violent Femmes, Sublime, Blink 182, Offspring, Garbage, Cake, and Stone Temple Pilots.
