About our Scholarships
In addition to funding specific requests for programming and equipment, the Athletic Booster Club also awards scholarships to deserving senior student-athletes. Applications become available in early February with the deadline for submission in mid April. The 2019 GDABC Scholarship Application Package is available through the Guidance Office.
The Groton-Dunstable Athletic Booster Club invites all seniors who have participated in Groton-Dunstable High School affiliated athletics to submit an application for a Booster Club Scholarship. In order to be eligible you must be planning to attend an accredited college on a full time basis the fall after your senior year or as determined by the GDABC
Each year, several $500 scholarships are awarded, as well as two $1,000 awards in memory of two well-known and well-respected former student-athletes, Brian Kane and Peter Twomey.
Scholarships are awarded based on four criteria that are weighted equally:
- Written Essay
- Seasons of Athletic Participation
- Community Service Hours to the Booster Club
The scholarship committee is comprised of non-senior-parent Booster Club members and it changes each year. Awards are presented during Class Night.
