Modhera Sun Temple, Main Temple (exterior), 30th Oct 2018

The Modhera Sun Temple was constructed in the early eleventh century by the Solanki king Bhimadeva I.

The temple complex consists of the main temple, a assembly/dancing hall and a sacred reservoir.

The main temple has a closed hall gudha mandapa in the front and a shrine garbha griha behind.
