The open pillared hall, ranga mandapa or sabha mandapa, seen from the main temple :

There are 52 pillars in the hall.
The taller pillars holding up the domical ceiling :
The pillars are spanned by arches.
The arches are of two types triangular and semi-circular.
One of the shorter pillars :
The shorter pillars rest on the half-wall and support the roof.
The central domed ceiling :

The sacred reservoir, kunda, is on the other side (east) of the assembly hall :
The kirti-torana (triumphant arch) between the kunda and the ranga mandapa :
Only the pillars remain.
Another torana is in the back ground.
