Now that the snowmobile season is over, we want to give a huge thank you to everyone who helped with taking out the trails, delivering the landowner certificates, and maintaining and grooming the trails this past season: Between all these people they donated 43 hours of just taking out the trails- Ross Tipcke & McKenzie, Trent Stemmann, Kevin Mehrkens, Derek, Carleen, Ethan, Evan, & Clara Weckerling, Jason Lodermeier, Ray Hadler, Dawn Vikingson, Toby Curtis, Randy & Deb Tutewohl, Ethan & Maddie Tutewohl, Guy Whipple, Todd Kuyath, & Mark Vieths.
Many of the trail bosses also took time to deliver the landowner certificates.
And the groomer had 89.5 hours put on it this past season- Brady Gadient and Jeff Ryan each helped on one of the outings. Derek Weckerling put in 19 hours and Trent Stemmann is the MAN- he sat in the groomer over 70 hours this winter so everyone could enjoy the trails. That does not include all the time he put in working on the groomer besides.
Thank you to all of you!
So,if you were on any of the trails this winter, please thank these wonderful people who have donated their time for your enjoyment.

*Vintage Show & Ride report: lots of discussion of what we could do differently next year. Jeff would like to do a “1 pull contest”, possibly look at changing the classes a bit. We had a profit of $753.82 including the Vintage show and sledding party. Once again, thanks to everyone who helped with this event: Jeff & Carolyn Ryan, Derek & Katie Weckerling & family, Ray Hadler, Dawn Vikingson, Paul Huneke, Mark Vieths, Treyben Kehren, Steve VanDeusen, Randy & Deb Tutewohl, & Paula Wagner. Thanks to Char VanDeusen, Deb Tutewohl, & Treyben Kehren for bringing desserts.
See table below for Vintage Ride and Show income and expenses.
*Groomer update: All the wheels that were being refurbished are done. We still have some new ones on hand also. Will need to go through the groomer this summer. The corners of the cab need to be fixed- they have rusted out. Does anyone know of someone who could fix that? Blades are wearing quite a bit.
*An email we received from some grateful riders last week: Just want to give a shout out to the groomers in your club. My husband and I went snowmobiling today and had a great time. Thanks to your groomers keeping the trails groomed after this big snowstorm and getting it done for all of us to enjoy today. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. Connie and Steve
*Trail Report: We would like to have a meeting before the trails are put in next season with everyone that puts in the trails. Possibly make it a supper. We are also looking for some new people to help with the trails. We will need to have another sign making party also before next season trails go in.
*Request for Lion’s donation for safety class: tabled until Paul Huneke available
*UTV raffle: We have bought the UTV which we will raffle off in the 2023 raffle. It is a 2023 Whitelightning 1000. We bought it from M & M. They gave us a $1500 discount if we bought it in March. It cost $16474. We will sell 300 tickets again like last year. We need to sell 199 tickets to break even. Once we get the State permit back, tickets will be available.
*Sledding party: We had a good turnout; the hill was great. We had BBQ’s left over from the Vintage ride and made another $53 on donations for the food. Thanks to Jason Majerus for allowing us to use his hill and Ag-Partners for the use of parking lot and electricity.
*ATV safety training class May 7: To register your kids ages 10-15, please e-mail Paula at operationpaula@gmail.com. We need someone outside when the parents drop off the ATV’s. With doing one big class it would be very helpful to have a few more people helping with registration. Discussion on where to actually do the driving course now that AG-Partners have built where we did most of the class in the past. Either just use the east part of that lot behind the C-store, or Tony mentioned look into doing it at the Fairgrounds in Zumbrota. Derek will discuss it at the next fair board meeting.
*ATV club trip: Tabled until next meeting. Derek & Tony will check into places or if anyone else has a suggestion.
