Elisa Najar Dutchover (Wife of Paul Lyles Dutchover - son of Maria Lyles and Louis Dutchover; Grandson of Alfonso Simon Lyles and Cruz Rodriguez) 89 year-old of Pecos, Texas, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2015 in Madill Oklahoma.
Samuel Vasquez (Great Grandson of Robert E Lyles and Herculana Rivera)
joined the open arms of our ancestors on March 29th in El Paso, Texas. He was born on 10 Jul 1949 in El Paso, Texas to Enrique Lyles Vasquez and Herminia Brijalba; Sam grew up in the Ysleta area of El Paso. After graduating from Ysleta High School, he joined the US Army during the Vietnam Campaign. He worked with PCE Contractors of Longview for many, many years until he retired in 2012. His military service in Southeast Asia took its toll in his later years, but he always enjoyed contributing to our family oral history and clarified many discrepancies about our antepasados.
Funeral Mass will follow the 10 A.M. Rosary Recitation on Friday, 10 April; burial date at Fort Bliss National Cemetery on Thursday, 16 April at 2 P.M. Sam will be in good company at Fort Bliss National Cemetery in El Paso with many other Lyles military cousins. He was preceded in death by his brothers Henry Vasquez Jr, David Vasquez and a sister Maria Delia Vasquez and by his parents. He is survived by his son Ernesto Vasquez, a granddaughter and by his sister Maria Elisa Vasquez of Las Vegas, Nevada.

wife of T B 'Bob' Parrish, 88 yrs, passed away on 13 Aug 2014 in Kirkland, Washington. Daughter of Paulina Lyles and Pantoleon Lerma.
Rudolph (Rudy) G. Gamboa (Grandson of Carolina Lyles and Desiderio Gamboa)
passed away at the age of 89 on July 22, 2014 at Good Samaritan Society - Las Cruces Village.
He was born in Mesilla, New Mexico on February 25, 1925 to Alfredo P. Gamboa and Annie Martin Gholson.
He was wounded in action in Guam, Marianas Islands in July 1944 and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was also awarded the Navy/Marine Presidential Unit Citation, the Navy Unit Commendation and numerous medals. A Prayer Vigil, followed immediately by a Funeral Liturgy, will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral on July 29th, 2014 at 9:00 am. Interment of cremains will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens

"Bob" Lyles, 94, passed away on July 2, 2012. He was born on May 23, 1918 in Balmorhea, Texas. He was a WWII Veteran Staff Sergeant, 32nd Infantry Division, who received two Bronze Stars while serving as a medic. Interment at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Military Honors.
