The George B Lyles Story is a family accounting of how our early ancestors settled in West Texas. There are many versions of how, when and why G B Lyles arrived in Frontier Texas. There is quite a bit of truth in most family legends, but there remains much to be substantiated. The following is an outline of the Lyles family story revealing facts that have been documented. There is verifiable proof for statements made describing activities and events. Careful, thoughtful research traces this pioneer family using documents and records created at the time of life events.
George B Lyles Descendants are found in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, California, Oregon, Montana, as well as Michigan and Georgia. [Refer to chart below.] The generations have migrated thoughout western United States and beyond -- as far away as Santiago, Chile where James Lyles is co-owner of the popular eating establishment California Cantina Restaurant & Club. James continues a 'modern' version of the pioneer tradition by offering learning opportunities for young entrepreneurs.
The Lyles ancestors traveled a bumpy Frontier Trail so that we could enjoy a national-global easeway.
