GATEway Science Fair
Saturday, April 26, 2025
12:15 PM
Organized by GATEway, Rochester's MCGT Chapter
This year, the GATEway Science Fair will be held on April 26, 2025, at Willow Creek Middle School.
GATEway's Annual Science Fair is open to all interested students in grades 3-6 who are currently enrolled in any public, private, or home school in Rochester or surrounding areas.
How to do a Science Fair Project
Think of a topic that interests you, then do an experiment at home to learn more about it. Explain your experiment with pictures, words, and graphs on a display board.
Bring your board to the Science Fair to explain your project to reviewers.
Science professionals from our community discuss projects with students and provide written feedback. Our Science Fair is non-competitive: no ribbons or prizes are awarded.
Participants can choose between two separate sessions. To shorten the day, we will no longer offer a Science Museum Program or snack. Students will receive a t-shirt, written feedback from reviewers, and a certificate of participation.
The registration fee of $5.00 includes a t-shirt if registered by the deadline of Sunday, April 11th, 2025 at 11:30 PM. If space remains after the registration deadline, late entries may be permitted but participants may not receive a t-shirt.
We realize COVID-19 is still circulating in our community. We will conduct our Science Fair with reasonable safety precautions. We will make a decision about these precautions closer to the date of the Science Fair, but we reserve the right to potentially require the following:
We may request everyone attending the fair be fully vaccinated, including eligible children.
Masking may be required by everyone over the age of two, unless actively eating or drinking. We recommend N95/KN95 or surgical masks. Surgical masks will be provided for those who need one.
For more details on our safety precautions, please see our FAQ page.
