basic service includes, but is not limited to:

To ensure every aspect of your gas appliance is functioning safely and efficiently.
We will affect what ever repairs are necessary to bring the unit into operating condition.
You don't pay extra for any aspect of the service, cleaning the pilot, when necessary, is a part of factory recommended service. Some companies advertise a flat rate but add on additional costs for services that should be covered under normal service.
To ensure there are no gas leaks or dangerous carbon monoxide emissions from the fireplace, and to ensure the fireplace's built in safety systems are functioning properly.
Gas-Xpress provides inspection and certification to satisfy home inspection requirements.
We are happy to work with realtors and their clients to ensure fireplaces, in homes offered for sale, are functioning properly, safely, efficiently and are cleaned to enhance the value of the property.
Certification is the same price and same great service as a regular service.
We want to leave your fireplace looking new ( within reason of course )
We clean and recondition all surfaces on your fireplace and , where applicable we will repaint the interior of your fireplace.
A blower and or remote control can be installed as a part of the regular service
charge + the cost of the parts.
( Blower installation requires the fireplace be pre-wired for electric power)
Scheduling:
We schedule appointments in 3 hour time slots ie: between 9 am and 12 noon or between 10 am and 1 pm the technician may arrive at any time during the scheduled time slot so we ask that you please plan accordingly. We do ask that you be available the entire time of the appointment time slot and at least an hour beyond, as the technician may arrive towards the end of the time slot for your appointment. If you have another obligation, ( have to pick the kids up at 3 pm etc... ) please do not schedule an appointment during that time frame. We try to be as accommodating as possible but in the winter season we are extremely busy and work very hard to stay on schedule for all of our customers. IF REQUESTED we can call when in route to your home and give as much advance notice as possible, ( usually 20 to 30 minutes ). If you have not requested a " Call Ahead " we WILL simply show up during our scheduled time frame We appreciate your understanding and consideration when scheduling service.
For service please make sure the fireplace has not been run for at least an hour prior to the beginning of the service window.
Please clear a 6' X 6' area in the front of the fireplace to allow access for service.
Please move furniture and appliances ( T.V.s ) to allow access to the fireplace wall switch for service.
We accept cash, check, Visa or Master Card. Payment is due at time of service If the person responsible for payment cannot be present when service is scheduled, we can take a credit card in advance that will not be billed until service is complete.
For credit card payments a 4% processing fee is applied to whatever amount we need to process.
If someone tells you your fireplace or fireplace venting needs replaced, GET A SECOND OPINION.
The expense of replacing a fireplace is normally far beyond what any repair could even come close to.
Even if you don't schedule with us get a second opinion from a reputable service provider.
Problems arising from improper venting or installation may fall outside the scope of " normal appliance service"
