6. Travels of Gooch and AE Irons

In June 2015 -  Gooch traveled to Enderlin, North Dakota the home of the Sheyenne Valley Peacekeepers for the North and South Dakota State shoot.  It was a great time and there were a lot of friends who had come out to Billings to shoot in past years.  Lots of good stages and the targets were up close and friendly. They had 138 shooters so turn out was good.  Good side matches and even a team shoot.  Definitely one to think about attending.

A E Irons went to Rexburg for the 2013 Six Gun Justice Annual Shoot.  Another great time.  

Well attended and the weather was great from all reports.

March 2, 2013 - Down to Cody Wyoming for a great couple of days of travel.  Stayed overnight at the Irma Hotel great place to visit this time of the

year not many of the out of state folks around.  Up in the morning for breakfast with the Justice Committee.  Good turn out of cowboy and cowgirls 

for breakfast.  Off to the Cody shooting complex for a great day of shooting fun.  Weather was perfect and a warm 57 degrees with no wind and lots

of sun.  Several very interesting stages with lots to do and fun to be had by all.  Just another great day of cowboy action fun.

On Jan 12 in the middle of snow and ice we started out for Las Vegas to attend the Shot Show.  Well we were not sure how far we would

get with the road conditions.  However, when we arrived in Idaho Falls the roads cleared up and we pushed on.  Arriving in St George UT late

that evening.  Up early on Sunday to push on to the shoot at the Clark County Shooting Complex, what a facility Harry Reid built for then in Vegas.

Shot the match - Big and Close fast and short.  Had a great time and enjoyed meeting old friends. Curly Sue, Prarie Dog, and Reverand Schofield.

Attended the Shot Show four days of learning and looking what an adventure.  

Then on Sunday we shot with the Desert Desperados another great bunch of cowboy shooters.  

Looking at the pictures you will notice targets are not all that big but they are up close. Little movement on the stages and no props or fronts.

The Shoot was great - warm day great bunch of folks and great chili - thanks to Crusty

The turn out was outstanding and we had a good time.

Jan 1 2012 - Freeze Your Buns Off Shoot in Cody, Wy.  Gooch Travel on Jan 1 to

the Cody Shooting complex to attend the annual match held on the first day of the

new year.  A great bunch of folks attend this year and fun was had by all.  Great spread

of food followed the shoot with lots of discussion about the shoots for this year.

Dec 1 we attended the Sun River Rangers Christmas Party in Great Falls.  It a great time

and the food brought by all was terrific.  Whiskey Schmidt and Lil Skeeter got things set up

which was greatly appreciated by all who attended.  Pictures of the event are in the 2012 Photo Gallery.

A need to attend event for next year.
