Global ADplot is another version of the Multi ADplot that can be implemented for overall gait evaluation.
Due to the great property of Comperability of the GGDI and GGAI indexes, it is possible and meaningful to include in a single plot all the indexes of all planes and all body levels of the gait report. This Multi ADplot presents in one graph only, all the information of Deviation and Asymmetry that exist in a gait report.
In Global ADplot, each point on the plot is identified by the two digit labeling convention.
The first digit referes to the body level:
The second digit refers to the Gait Graph Plane
Two extra points are plotted using blue and red colored asterisk symbol (*). These point are showing the global mean Asymmetry and Deviation observed in all levels and all three planes .
The Global ADplots can be implemented to present the overall condition of the subject. An example application of this feature is to present for comparison the Pre - Post global ADplots in order to spot the global trend for improvement or aggravation after intervention.
PRE - DBS POST - DBS
Figure 1. Pre - Post Global ADplots of a Parakison’s Disease patient before the application of Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) and after the application of the DBS.
In the above example, a very clear and impressive global improvement is documented after the Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) application. Almost all of the Gait Graph indexes are plotted inside the gray area (normalcy area) indicating a remarkable gait improvement.
This is also an example of the of data reduction functionality that ADplot offers.
