Dr. Gahangir Hossain

Dr. Gahangir Hossain serves as the director of the Security and Cognitive Recommender Systems Laboratory (SCORE Lab) within the Department of Information Science at the University of North Texas. In 2014, he obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of Memphis, focusing on interdisciplinary research in neuro-cognitive and cyber-assistive intelligent systems. Dr. Hossain also possesses a second master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (2013) and a graduate certification in Cognitive Science (2011) from the same university. Prior to pursuing his studies in the United States, he completed a master's degree in Computer Science & Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology in 2008. Furthermore, he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electronics & Computer Science from Shahjalal University of Science & Technology in Bangladesh in 2000. Throughout his career, Dr. Hossain has held faculty positions at various institutions, including West Texas A&M University (2000-2022), Texas A&M University-Kingsville (2015-2019), and Purdue School of Engineering and Technology, IUPUI (2014-2015).

Research interest: Cyber Intelligence, Machine Learning Applications, Cognitive Neuroscience, Recommender Systems, Cybersecurity Management.

Dr. Kossi Dodzi Bissadu, a postdoc researcher in the SCORE Lab (Security, Cognitive Computing, and Recommender Systems Laboratory) within the Department of Information Science at the University of North Texas (US). He currently serves as cloud computing and cybersecurity expert at the US Department of Defense. He earned his Ph.D. in Cybersecurity from the Department of Information science at the University of North Texas. He is a well-rounded researcher and industry practitioner in Science, Technology, and Cybersecurity. He holds a Master of Science degree in Information Technology from Kansas-Grantham University (US), a Master of Technology degree in Climate and GIS science from Federal University of Technology Minna (Nigeria), Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Lome (Togo). He has published several peer-reviewed research articles in reputable journals and conference proceedings. He is an author and a reviewer for two international journals in Agriculture and Information sciences. He has taught graduate-level cybersecurity courses. He was also a lead Scientist in various Engineering and research agencies in the U.S. He specializes in Cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud computing, and software development. In addition to his academic life, he is a mentor to many junior scientists and students in Artificial Intelligence, software development, and cloud computing.

Ajaz Mohd was born in Hyderabad, India, on January 01, 1992. After finishing schooling in 2009 with growing interest in electrical and computer science attended Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology (MJCET) in Hyderabad, India and received Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electrical Engineering at Osmania University in 2013. After graduating worked for Wipro Technologies, India as a Software Engineer for almost 2 years. With an interest in pursuing higher studies in January 2016, got admission in Texas A&M University-Kingsville, United States for Master of Science in Electrical Engineering & expected to be graduate in December 2017.
