Welcome to the website for the Future of Publishing Think Tank.
We're an ad hoc group of writers, editors, independent publishers and booksellers, literary arts organizations and others interested in the future of the book.
We've created a comprehensive database of literary organizations in Southern California, with an emphasis on Los Angeles County.
The listings are available in alphabetical order by organization name, or by organization type.

If your literary organization isn't listed in our database, add it here. Please share this with colleagues at literary organizations and invite them to add their listings. We want to map the literary landscape of all of Southern California.
Last year we surveyed readers to learn more about how they make book buying and book reading decisions. You can watch our slideshow highlighting what we learned and what writers can do to promote their work in the internet era.
