WHzerはキャビンとフロートの間をアクティブ・サスペンションで繋いだ高度なサスペンション船です。波による船体の動きでモーター／ジェネレーターを駆動発電し、電気を収穫して、それによって揺れを抑えます。この電気で船を走らせることに利用もできれば、船内の電源として活用もできます。

またこの電気でモーター／ジェネレーターを作動させて、キャビンを揺れないようにします。あたかも空間に固定されたかのように最高の乗り心地が得られるので、この制御をスカイフック制御と呼んでいます。

要望に応じて、発電と乗り心地向上の割合を意のままに変えることが出来ます。

この研究開発は東京大学生産技術研究所北澤研究室と共同で行なわれました。

- The technology -

1．R&D

WHzer,a high-tech suspension boat, consists of a cabin and two floats which are connected through so-called active suspensions as they operate actively. The motion of the boat caused by the waves drives a motor/generator, which produces electric power and suppresses cabin motion. The energy from batteries recharged by this motor/generator propels the boat and also supplies power on board the vessel.

Additionally, the control of the motor/generator includes inertial sensing and a unique algorithm improved from "skyhook control" used with automotive active suspension. This keeps the cabin stable achieving optimum comfort.

The ratio of power generation and ride comfort can be adjusted accordingly.

This R&D was conducted cooperating with Kitazawa Lab., Institute of Industrial Science, the Univ. of Tokyo

2. 応用

この技術はプレジャーボートの他、作業船、交通船、漁船、遊覧船など、どの分野にもそのまま応用できます。

2. Application

This technology can be applied to various kinds of vessels used in work, transport, fishing, or tourism among others.
