The Makita 4329K Variable-Speed Jig Saw combines a strong 3.9 amp motor with a variable-speed dial control (500-3,100 SPM) optimizing cutting. The saw provides a 11/16-inch stroke and three orbital cut settings as well as standard straight cutting. The limit of cutting wood is 2 9/16-inches deep. It has a compact design of 8 7/8 inches long and weighs 4.2 pounds. The die-cast aluminum base adjusts up to 45 degrees right or left and positive stop at 90 degrees, the base is dampens sound and helps in reduce vibration. An ergonomically designed the rubberized grip offers a larger trigger with lock-on button. The lock can be set with the thumb while holding the saw with your right hand. The counterweight balancing system is designed for reduced vibration and experience less fatigue. Very little vibration gets transmitted through to your hands or the piece you are cutting. The saw operates much more quietly than other jig saws, ensuing in more precise cuts. The saw requires a hex wrench to change the saw's cutting angle and blade. This allows you to adjust the bevel or change the blade efficiently. The blade locking system is effortless and locks tight and square. There is on-board storage space for a hex wrench. The Makita 4329K Variable-Speed Jig Saw has a dust port that enables you to attach your vacuum to the unit, when the saw is in non-beveled operation. There is a transparent dust cover at the front that can slide up and down for shielding. It can be tricky to move it in and out of position, but it with the through-the-body dust port system provides exceptional dust management.
Overall this is an excellent jigsaw but is not for everyone. The saw's handle is wide to grip confidently and comfortably, and it is relatively light weight certainly helps reduce fatigue. It is a basic saw with virtually not bells or whistles. If you are looking for the bells and whistle, this is not the saw for you. If your need a powerful saw again this is not for you. But if you are looking for a solidly built middle of the road, low cost option, this is a quiet, low-vibration, precision machine and would be an excellent choice.
