Serving Groups

[What are Serving Groups]

Each serving group take turns to serve on each Friday night. Each group will divide the tasks amongst themselves, and the leader of the group should coordinate to ensure that all roles are covered by members from their group, and that they are well prepared for the meeting.

It is a great opportunity to serve together, and to exercise and explore their spiritual gifts.

[Program Format] (please try hard to keep to the schedule)

8:00-8:15pm - Singspiration

8:15-8:40pm - Welcome new guests + Personal sharing + praying

8:40-8:45pm - Announcements

8:45-9:45pm - Main Program

9:45-10:00pm - “Prayers Without Borders”

[Primary Tasks]

1. Send "This Friday" invitation email
   • by Wednesday Night
2. Lead main program
   • be on-time and ready
   • Start program with prayer
3. Singspiration
   • make sure A/V equipment is ready
4. Lead “Prayers Without Borders”
   • come up with a prayer topic that could be as big as about current events (i.e. prop 8, economy, mission needs in some countries, wars..etc), or as medium as in church/missionary prayer needs, or as small as some needy person you know
   • please provide some background info, i.e. situation + how we can pray about it
