Adelaide PhD Summer Institute
I was the co-organiser of the Adelaide PhD Summer Institute in International Trade. This conference was hosted by the University of Adelaide in February 2017, in March 2018 and March 2019. Its objective is to provide PhD students in this field with a platform for discussing their ideas with both fellow PhD students and senior scholars. Each student will be given at least 45 minutes of presentation and discussion time. Students are not required to present an already completed paper or paper draft, but may also report on the progress of their research strategies. It is also an objective of the PhD Summer Institute that students receive feedback at an early stage of their PhD project, and consequently PhD students of all years are strongly encouraged to participate. Both theoretical and empirical research in international trade is welcome.
Unfortunately, the 4th Adelaide PhD Summer Institute in International Trade that was supposed to take place on March 18 and 19, 2020, hosted by the University of South Australia, Adelaide, had to be cancelled because of the Corona crisis. The workshop returned as the PhD Summer Institute in International Trade & Industrial Organisation and was and will be organized by Onur Koska and Ilke Inur.
