About the Friends

Mission Statement

The mission of the Friends of the M.N. Spear Library is to:

    • Maintain an association of persons interested in libraries

    • Stimulate the use of the library's resources and services

    • Focus public attention on the library

    • Support the American Library Association Bill of Rights

    • Receive and encourage gifts, endowments and bequests to the M. N. Spear Library

Who are The Friends?

    • We are townspeople who care about our library.

    • We are interested in promoting our library by improving its services,

    • resources, and its role in the community.

    • We foster greater use of our library and its services.

Executive Committee Meetings - The Executive Board meets as needed. The Friends Annual Meeting takes place in early November.
