FILMS FOR ALL

The project was to set up as a not for profit Community Cinema using the library premises. A grant was obtained from the National Lottery and a large screen installed and equipment purchased, after a considerable delay due to COVID our first screenings started December 2021.

The cinema will show films suitable for all ages with screenings of family films and those for adult audiences. Ticket prices will be kept low and some screenings will be free. We intend the project to be inclusive and to offer films in a “dementia friendly “ setting for local care home residents etc.

We have plans to show films regularly. We are hoping to start a new project in 2022 to train and encourage young people to make films and we will use the cinema equipment to show their films. Watch this space for further details !!
