I work with different media - mainly sculpture, drawing and video.
I am intrigued by the idea that survival and societal progression are similar things, each helping to bring about a continual cycle of renewal and obsolescence. Whilst decay, deterioration and neglect are central themes of my practice, I am also interested in the quest to transcend that which is deemed ordinary.
I have been a founding member of the artist collectives Wolstenholme Projects, Liverpool (active member 2006-09); POST, national site-specific artist collective (active member 2008-2012, it continues); the Roadside Museum, Lancashire (2013-2015); and Caraboo Projects, Bristol (active member 2018-). I gained experience assisting artists in the 2002 Liverpool Biennial and as an intern during the 2004 Liverpool Biennial.
