As a Framingham State University faculty member, I spend about 9 months a year working almost exclusively with students, then I have about 3 months a year to calmly and confidently think about issues of interest with absolutely no pressure on the timing of delivery. The craftsmanship achieved in research activities filters back into better quality of teaching and advising to my students during the normal school year.
