Research interests

My work has been mainly concentrated on the study of the following topics:

• the classification of algebraic varieties, especially projective surfaces and threefolds

• the theory of deformations for algebraic varieties and complex manifolds

• the geometry of self-maps of complex affine spaces

• the factoriality problem for singular algebraic varieties

• the study of comparison principles for PDE in tubular neighbourhoods of Riemannian manifolds
