Trip to Croke Park

The Club had a very enjoyable and successful trip to Croke Park on St Patrick's Day to the All Ireland Club Finals. A total of 49 people travelled which consisted mostly of U14 and U12 hurlers. We left Four Roads at 10.15am and returned at 9pm. Although it was a long day it was good to see the two cups crossing the Shannon into the West, with St. Thomas's of Galway winning the hurling and St. Brigid's winning the football. St. Brigids made it a roller coaster of a match leaving it very late to secure victory, with Frankie Dolan kicking the winning point with the last kick of the game. On the way home we had our usual stopover in Supermac's in Moate. From the feedback received everyone had a really enjoyable day. We would like to say a special thanks to all the young hurlers who were on their best behaviour on the trip.
