Looking for Postdocs for Immunology and Cancer related projects.
We are looking for qualified candidates as postdoctoral fellows and as research technicians in the laboratory of Dr. David Fooksman at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. We have several projects in the laboratory based on candidates skills and interests that range from fundamental immunology, autoimmune disease, cancer, stem cells, infection, inflammation and vaccine development.
The laboratory is focused on the physiology of plasma cells, which is critical for antibody production and long-lived immunity. Our approach is to combine in vivo two-photon microscopy imaging with molecular and cellular immunology to visualize and manipulate these cells in vivo to better understand their regulation and function under normal and pathological conditions.
Postdoctoral candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree with a strong background in immunology and/or molecular biology and biochemistry. Skills in hands-on mouse work including surgery, cellular and molecular immunology, advanced fluorescence imaging, biochemistry, molecular biology, multiparameter flow cytometry, global gene expression analysis, quantitative analysis would be useful but not strictly required. We are looking for scientists that are highly motivated, creative, earnest, who can work both independently as well as collaboratively, with good communication and interpersonal skills to complement the group. We provide a unique environment to grow and learn to be a great scientist and help the world.
If you are interested, please send: i) a cover letter briefly summarizing your research experience, interests and goals, ii) your CV, and iii) a list of 3 references, to fooksmanlab@gmail.com. Before applying to this lab or others, considering reading this first.
The Albert Einstein College of Medicine is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications from all interested and qualified scientists.
