Pay It Forward Vaccines for the Global South: As you know the pandemic is not over until it is over for everyone. The United Church of Canada has a campaign called Pay It Forward. This campaign urges people to advocate, donate, and buy a vaccine that would be administered in the Global South where the pandemic related suffering continues to increase. Pay It Forward offers a chance to buy a vaccine for just $25. for someone in a country where vaccines are in short supply. These are distributed through UNICEF's networks and apparently the donations will now be matched by government funds. Please find out more about this program by going to: https://united-church.ca/news/matching-vaccine-donations.

Thank you for your support.

United Church Helps Haiti to recover from the massive earthquake and tropical storm

The United Church of Canada has launched a fundraising campaign to support the people of Haiti in recovering from a massive earthquake and drenching tropical storm. The Haitian Methodist Church, which is a partner of The United Church of Canada, along with congregations and outreach ministries in the hardest hit areas of the country, is responding by supplying first aid, medical supplies, water, temporary shelters, and food. The Government of Canada will match every donation made by Canadians to the Humanitarian Coalition and its members between August 16 and September 3, 2021. Again you can find out more about this by going to: https://united-church.ca/news/matching-vaccine-donations.
