Good morning,
Please congratulate the following students for being named National Merit Semifinalists:
From left to right: Lauren Eckert, Giselle Palaca, Colton Braddy, Halle Gibson, and Sydney Hayes.
From 50,000 high scorers nationwide, about 16,000 were named National Merit Program Semifinalists, representing the top scorers in each state. Approximately 34,000 others will be commended for their performance.
These students will now complete applications to become National Merit Finalists. They will also be able to compete for about 7400 National Merit Scholarships.
Fleming Island High School had the largest number of National Merit Semifinalists in Clay County and had comparable numbers to Ponte Vedra High and Nease High.
