About me

Since January 2022 I am Associate Professor of Finance at Free University of Bozen-Bolzano in Italy. I am also Associate Editor of Review of Managerial Science.

My primary research interest lies in the area of corporate finance and empirical finance, with a special focus on the impact of credit ratings and firm risk. In particular I investigate the relationship between credit rating agency reports and information contained in credit default swap (CDS) spreads. 

• In 2022, listed on Top 50 Young Scholars in Business Administration under 40 years in German speaking countries by Wirtschaftswoche. 

• In 2020, I was ranked as one of the top 200 scientists (best 6%) in business administration in the German speaking countries Germany, Austria, and Switzerland by Wirtschaftswoche. 

My works also cover regulatory changes and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors. I have published in international respected journals, such as Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Money, Credit and Banking and Journal of Banking and Finance.
