Subject: Draft Reports on WTC 9/11

http://wtc.nist.gov

10,000 pages - you have 6 months to make comments

Under 'Emergency Response' - page 55 of 294 - the report now explictly says that 160 of the 343 FDNY LODDs were lost outside the towers.

Was this well known within the fire service? I had not seen it mentioned in any news reports, or online fire service documents, until now.

Page 128 under Emerg Response - the report says that hoselines were being pulled on floor 78 of wtc 2 at 955am - the bld collapsed 4 minutes later

1 elev worked to flr 40 in wtc2 - 1 elev worked to flr 16 in wtc1 - see pages 133 and 134 under Emergency Response

Some of the radio info is badly screwed up - still no mention of coax cables - they have 482 Mhz digital portables confused with 800 TRS portables - they might have one of the input feqs listed incorrrectly (154.43 was not the input to a repeater - except maybe the crossband repeater in a sense in the BC buggy)

The statement about "never using the fire service phones" has been changed.

Absolutely no mention of using helos to extinguish the fire. Several mentions of using 5 big lines or master streams to knock down a fully involved floor

Very little mention of these draft documents on the firehouse.com website

No mention of the fire CAD having problems - however the dispatch records sem to indicate that all units were dispatched in 3 bunches - plus a borough call box from ?Brooklyn
