Voluntary Contributions & Class Funds

The PTA asks parents for a one-time, voluntary contribution in the fall to cover expenses throughout the school year. Funds cover two class celebrations, teacher and classroom paraprofessional gifts in December, a HTG basket, Staff Appreciation Week, and, in the case of Oak Street, class picnics in June. As you manage your budget, please honor how we've committed to parents to spend their contributions.

    • The PTA is NOT collecting funds for end-of-year teacher gifts. Families may choose to give a year-end gift to teachers on an optional and individual basis.

    • It does NOT include funds collected for Grade Level Educational Experience Days such as Colonial Day or Ancient Civilizations Day.

    • It does NOT include money collected by teachers for Field Trips.
