Party Planning

September 2020 Update: Due to the decision to deliver instruction online for at least the first nine weeks of the 2020-21 school year as well as Governor Northam’s continued social distancing guidance, classroom celebrations that are scheduled to take place this year will need to be substantially “reimagined." Please collaborate with your classroom teacher to determine alternative, socially distant ways to celebrate that will keep our community safe. Suggestions provided in this page are for reference only and may need to be tailored per current health and safety guidelines.

Reinventing the wheel is never fun...and on that note, the same can be said for trying to pull together a birthday party for a Hippo or Valentines Day Party year after year. Feel free to email us things that have worked in the past or ideas you may have and we will add to the documents below for all to use. If Pinterest is your thing, check out FCEPTA and please forward pins and board ideas to share.

There are two schools of thought for party planning: You can assign parents to come up with the ideas for each station or plan it yourself and then ask for volunteers. There is no right answer; do what works best for you! Be sure to communicate with the teacher as they often have firm ideas of what works/doesn't work for the class.
