Joshua Fouche joins us as the codirector of the Flowery Branch Colorguard. He grew up in Commerce, Georgia, where he fell in love with performing and the marching arts. He is now a student at the University of North Georgia in pursuit of a degree in communications, and is also a shift supervisor at Starbucks.
He has had the opportunity to perform with several world-class programs, which inspired him to continue with the activity through teaching. He marched with Spirit of Atlanta, the Madison Scouts, and the Bluecoats in 2015, 2016, and 2017, respectively. In 2018 he performed with Paramount Open Winterguard, and then with the World guard in 2019.
Joshua currently lives in Dacula, Georgia with his family, two dogs, and his very spoiled cat. He is incredibly grateful for his experiences with the Flowery Branch Marching Band, and has had the absolute pleasure of getting know and educate his students. He’s excited for what is to come!
Adrian is humbled to serve as one of the colorguard directors for the Flowery Branch High School Marching Falcons. Raised in Gainesville, GA, he graduated from R.W. Johnson HS in 2017 having been a member of the marching band, concert band, colorguard, and winterguard. He began his involvement in the performing arts as a trumpet player while staying active during winterguard seasons. Later, he joined the fall colorguard, serving as captain his senior year.
After graduation, Adrian went on to work for his Alma mater as the guard instructor, and he's additionally worked for North Hall and Lumpkin County HS in northern Georgia. While attending the University of North Georgia, he marched Kingsmen Indoor in 2018 earning a silver medal at GIPA and being WGI Championship finalists. Fast forward 2021, Adrian performed with Edge Independent where they earned 1st place at all their in-person competitions, and placed 2nd at SAPA championships in addition to being WGI Virutal finalists. Adrian spends his weekdays working with 20 five year-olds as a Kindergarten paraprofessional in Hall County.
Tita Lovell is very honored to serve as the colorguard coordinator at Flowery Branch High School, where she has been for the past 11 years. Tita was raised in Marietta, GA, where she graduated as a charter student from Kennesaw Mountain High School in 2004. She attended Agnes Scott College and the Georgia Institute of Technology, earning her Bachelor of Arts in Music (ASC) and Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering (GT) in 2010. After working for a few years as a materials characterization research technician and thanks to her involvement in colorguard at the Branch, Tita decided to change career paths to education, earning her Master of Arts in Teaching in Secondary Science Education in 2016. She is now a high school physics teacher.
Tita began her colorguard performance career as a charter member of the Kennesaw Mountain Winterguard from 2001 – 2004, participating in 1st WGI Scholastic A Championship Finalist group from the school and ending her high school career as a member the 2004 WGI Scholastic A Champion winterguard. From there, Tita participated in the Georgia Tech Band, playing the clarinet in the marching band, as a member of the colorguard, playing bass clarinet in Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, and Pep Band from 2004 to 2010. Her winterguard career spans a number of ensembles, including: Georgia Tech Visual Ensemble (2005), Lulabel Independent (charter member in 2006, 2007), Aureus Independent (2009), and Paramount Winterguard (charter member in 2011, 2012, 2013, & 2021). Throughout college and beyond, Tita has participated in a number of drum corps, including Carolina Crown Drum & Bugle Corps (2007), Glassmen Drum & Bugle Corps (2008), and Atlanta CV Drum & Bugle Corps (2014, 2017, 2018). Tita has been serving as the Secretary of the Southern Association for Performance Arts (SAPA) since 2013.
Currently, she resides in Duluth, GA with her husband, Mikhail, and their children, Imogen and Kepler. She is so thankful for all the wonderful experiences and memories she has made at the Branch over the years, and she is looking forward to what incredible things are to come in the future.
