From the Pastor's Desk:

It was brought to my attention that there was a concern that information and updates on our current situation during the coronavirus pandemic and upcoming advent plans was not reaching those of our congregation that do not possess a smartphone or a computer. It is important that we are able to communicate with all of our congregational members to bring the latest news and updates on events, member information and prior to the pandemic weather-related closings.

So over the past several years we have strived to improve our ability to do just that, we enhanced the prayer chain contact list as a way to quickly and accurately communicate by developing a list of volunteers that are contacted by the prayer chain administrator Jay Peterson with prayer requests and news updates, each volunteer is assigned a group of individuals that they are responsible to contact and relay the latest information. In this way we feel we can quickly contact every member of the church to keep them informed.

As far as Advent and Christmas eve worship for 2020 we continue to see an unprecedented spike in infected individuals both in our state and our local community and we feel it is unsafe for our members to gather for such an event. I am working on a Christmas eve service that will be broadcast on our website and on YouTube, you will be kept updated as this is developed.

Folks: As much as we all want to be together to celebrate the birth of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ we must remember first and foremost that these are times that require that we err on the side of safety for the benefit of all those in our homes and church families that we love and care for deeply.

Please understand that we are doing everything we can during this pandemic, but our first priority is and will always be the health and safety of you, the members of our church family.

Blessings to you all

Stay safe, keep Praying
